Children and Adolescents

Children and adolescents manifest mental health problems unique from adults. I work with kids experiencing frequent worries, sadness, hyperactivity, behavioral challenges, social difficulties, and family concerns.

If so, your child may benefit from having a place to talk about his or her thoughts and feelings. Therapy can provide a safe space for your child to explore his or her inner world as well as gain new coping skills and self-confidence.

I find that therapy is most successful when we work together as a team to support your child. Depending upon the needs of your family, I will use a combination of individual, family, and parent-consultation sessions. I will tailor sessions to incorporate your child’s interests to make therapy engaging and hopefully, even fun! My approach is integrative drawing on techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, art therapy, and family systems theory.
